The Washington Health Alliance is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization where the people who give, get and pay for health care work together to improve health care quality and value in Washington state. Alliance participants collaborate to help drive transformation in the health care system to improve the lives of all Washingtonians.
The Alliance is one of 16 organizations that are part of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Aligning Forces for Quality (AF4Q) initiative.
Since the Alliance’s founding in 2004, participation has grown to include more than 160 state, county and private employers, union trusts, health plans, hospitals and physician groups, government agencies, community based organizations, educational institutions, pharmaceutical companies and individuals.
Alliance participants are committed to supporting the use of evidence and data to promote quality health care, and to help produce the Community Checkup for health care decision-making. Everyone, including individuals and organizations, is welcome to be a part of the Alliance.
